While Mike and I played, Cy hung out with his cousins and friends in Utah. Thanks Mom, Dad, Anne and Rene for helping us out!

We got stung....by Sting
My girlfriend, Lisa met me at the Sundance Film Festival for the movie premiere "Moon" starring Sam Rockwell. Since my buddy bought the film, we were given the VIP treatment and sat near David Bowie, Sting and his wife during the film. We then went to the after party where Sting enjoyed a 30 minute conversation with Lisa...you still have it little lady!

Swag house
Typically I'm the one "hooking" Mike up at the festival, but this year he managed to get us VIP passes to The Yard (aka Swag house)where we both got a bag full of free clothes, shoes, hair products, make-up, purses, etc.
Gillian and I went to my buddy Scott's birthday party which we celebrated with Chris and Danny Masterson and Ed Helmes (Andy from The Office). I have to say, Ed was so nice (a little shy), and even invited me to ski with him the next day. Of course I said no thinking it wouldn't be appropriate since I'm married. After I told Mike about the offer, he replied "why didn't you go, you should have". He's certainly not the jealous type!

Partying!
Mike and I had a blast seeing movies and partying in Park City. Here are a few we met (meaning hung out at the same party with...we only spoke to about five of them)....Mike Tyson, Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Russel Simmons, Cuba Gooding, John Krasinski, David Bowie, Sting, Sam Rockwell, Andy MacDowell, Virginia Madsen, Jeff Daniels, Ewan McGregor, Denise Richards.

Girls Weekend
It's been two years since I've had a girls trip, so we decided to combine our Christmas break with a weekend get together. Gillian, Julie, Lisa and I had a fabulous time shopping, eating lunch at some delicious restaurants, relaxing at the Kura Door Spa, and topping it off with an MMA fight. And yes, it was totally white trash and scary...as someone recently said to me "you can take the girl out of Pleasant Grove, but you can't take Pleasant Grove out of the girl".

New Years Eve
We jumped around on New Years eve starting out at a grungy club in Salt Lake City with our friends Justin and Julie. After getting smoked out, we decided to jump over to another party close by, where our friends Adam and Nicole (as seen in the first photo) were. We had a blast dancing, but I think Justin preferred sitting on the side lines laughing at us and our sweet dance moves.

Mike's Family
Cy also met his cousin from Mike's side of the family, Luella. She is such a sweety, and looks like she could be his sister. She is smaller than him, but much more advanced...even teaching him how to play "properly". It's times like these where I feel so bad that we are far away from all our family. I would love for Cy to grow up with cousins around him.

Weekend Fun
Cy's Birthday
Since Cy is a Christmas baby (born on the 23rd), we celebrated his birthday at our friends the Heaton's in Utah. Cy was a little overwhelmed with jet lag and all the new faces, but had a great time visiting with his cousins Sammy and Victoria. We gave him a pumpkin pie with whipped cream for his birthday cake, but all he wanted was a bottle. I wish I could drink a glass of milk over dessert!

Happy Holidays...from the Colemans
We spent our Christmas vacation in Utah with family and friends this year. It seems every year someone is missing due to missions, babies, or work, so it was great to have everyone all together again. True to our Danish heritage, we enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by my Mom (including rice pudding)and danced around the Danish Christmas tree singing songs. We started a fun tradition several years back of purchasing matching pajama pants that we wear on Christmas Eve.

We've had an eventful 10 days in Utah with family and friends. Details to come!

It's Christmas Time in the City
This past weekend, one of Mike's best friends (Pete) was in town for the day, so we zipped into the city to visit him. We first checked out some gadgets at the Apple store, which not surprisingly was Cy's favorite part of the day. Then we popped over to FAO Schwartz where we ran into Steven Spielberg as he was leaving! Madi is very proud to say he brushed shoulders with her. We topped off the day with some pizza and pictures.

Don't Touch
Well it's true, most kids don't need a lot of fancy toys or vacations. Some quality time, home appliances and hardware are enough to entertain the most high maintenance babies. Cy seems to especially love the porcelain king and would hang out in the bathroom all day if I let him.

The Toilet

Could this be my first sign of the difference between boys and girls? Madison could care less about the toilet when she was little, but it seems to be Cy's best friend lately. If I leave him alone for more than a few seconds, he heads straight to the bathroom where he works at his "desk". Flipping the lid, flushing, pounding on the bowl, attempting to un-do any screws, or simply splashing his hand in the water (yes SOMEONE failed to flush the toilet once)...it's all in a days work for Cy.
Taking Away His Friend
Cy loves the toilet so much and is in total despair when I block his access to the bathroom.

Old Friends
I'm not implying that they are OLD, clearly they are spring chickens. I got a nice e-mail from my girlfriend Julie with some pictures we took last time we were together in Utah, and felt I had to pay my respects to Mike's buddies who have known him much longer than I have. They're definately a bunch of sarcastic trouble making rascals, but anyone who knows me is aware that I live for that. See you at Christmas!
