Lena Visits

My little sister, Lena was visiting this past weekend, so we had the opportunity to do some shopping, dining, and catching up. Thanks for the fun weekend Lena and great night with(as Mom would say)your "little friendy". I feel like we should celebrate Christmas with him or show him off at church, given he's a spitting image of Jesus.

Thanksgiving

This year we were able to spend Thanksgiving with a few friends (LaBelle's, Barney's, and Carl!) here in New York. I highly recommend doing this, it was so nice not to have to worry about cooking the entire meal myself, especially for only three people! Thanks for all your hard work Becky, it was a delicious and memorable day for us.

Caught

Cy has this funny little head tilt and shy smile when he gets caught getting into things he knows he shouldn't. How could I ever get mad at this?

NYAC International Open

We attended a wrestling event in the city (studying up for Mike's movie). It was fun to see the guys in action, although Madi didn't appreciate the spectacle as much as we did. She was in the corner reading a book.

Singing In The Rain

Last week we has a major rain storm, which most people out here would dread. Madi, on the other hand ran into the shower, grabbed shampoo and conditioner, some rain boots and jetted out the door. I guess she decided to take a rain shower...probably not the most sanitary option, and I'm sure the neighbors think we're abusive or too poor to afford warm water. These are days I realize I still have a little girl.

Uncle Dave

Mike's baby brother came to stay with us while interviewing and checking out some investment banks in New York City.
Cy kept getting confused and shy when he realized he wasn't Mike, but enjoyed him none-the-less.
Madi can be seen modeling her new jacket she just bought with her babysitting money. Love it Madi!

Cy's Day at Work

Basically consists of playing and sleeping (sometimes simultaneously)

Fresh Meat

Only kidding (Jenn), but that seems to be the look on Cy's face. He had the opportunity to have a play date with his buddy Cal a few days ago. He's so used to his baby doll, that when the real thing came along he was fascinated and so excited. He was very gentle with little Cal, who also loved Cy and found him amusing. Other than trying to steal Cal's bottle, the date was great!

Room With A View

This is what I've been waking up to every day. I love Fall, and the view from my bedroom window.

Just The Girls

We thought it would be fun to have a girls only RB party while our friend Lisa was visiting. It got so hot from dancing around, I had to open up our windows, which I'm sure is going to result in all the neighbors wondering what six grown women are doing playing "video games" on a Saturday night.

Rocking Again

This is seriously the best game to play to get to know people. It forces you to break out of your shell, allows you to act like an idiot and dress up if you want, you save a buck on date night, and it gives you another option when it seems EVERY movie out is sub par at best.

Central Park Zoo

We spent our Saturday afternoon enjoying the last few moments of good weather in the city. We took Cy to the Central Park zoo where he saw all the animals we read about in person. He was pretty taken back and reserved, but interested in everything going on around him.

Sums up how I felt the end of 2007 and first half of 2008

Central Park in the Fall

My favorite time of the year, and my favorite girl.

Spooky Madi

Is it any shock to anyone that Madi was a vampire this Halloween? Thanks alot Twilight...I'm anxiously waiting for the next book phenomena to come out. If I hear the words Edward, Stephanie Meyer, Breaking Dawn, or Twilight again I will pull my hair out of my head.

Under all that hair and make-up, I still see a little 4 year old who loved anything pink and frilly, and wanted to change her name to Shell because she thought she was a mermaid.
