A Joyful NOISE

This year we were "blessed" enough to have a home video that is nothing short of a holiday miracle in my eyes...something that i ssure to bring tears to your eyes.
Mike is usually an amazing singer and was sure his sore throat wouldn't affect his voice.  He thought the group sounded so lovely he couldn't help but try and join in (not thinking about the fact that his face was a foot away from my camera microphone).
Enjoy the gift that keeps on giving....michael coleman everyone
p.s. the christmas miracle starts about 5 seconds in

Christmas Time

This has been such a busy (but cozy) week for us filled with shopping, cleaning, family, food and fun.  Christmas Eve is especially important for my side of the family who are Danish.  We celebrate the traditional way with fantastic food, dancing around the tree, and top it with our own traditions of gift exchanges and matching pajamas.
Beautiful Lena was so much help this year as I hosted Christmas Eve for the first time!

Holiday parties

Before Christmas, we spent time with our "adoptive cousins" the Griersons who we've known for over 30 years.

Esti adores dogs and has no fear even when they bark
 Jensen sisters

 Singing carols with the Griersons
 Cy's 4th birthday party

Ice cream cake and homemade cake pops
Esti went crazy over the cake pops...her first sugar experience

At night I couldn't find Cy anywhere, but finally discovered he put himself to sleep after taking off his armor in his new castle

Winter Formal

My baby girl went to her first formal dance with a great kid.  She looked so beautiful, and yes, Mom cried like a little baby.   After they left, little Cy said "Mom, Mads had a sexy dress, but not quite".  Not sure what that means, but I'm glad he pulled me out of a depression.

A Preschool Christmas

Cy participated in a little preschool program this past week.  He never fails to entertain (usually by acting a little naughty or theatrical).
Cousin Victoria came along to support Cy
A funny discussion that really captures their personalities on the drive home

Glædelig jul!

This December has been packed full of parties and events (or at least the planning of them).  Our house is feeling cozy and we are ready for Santa and Family!  We attended the Festival of Trees with some friends and a Danish Christmas celebration my mother arranges (and cooks for) almost every year with local Danes.
Cy adoring the little "bug" he made at a craft table
Mike, Mads, Uncle Dane, Esti (and Grandma Pia behind)
Dancing around the tree singing carols...it's a Scandinavian tradition
I love Cy's expression after seeing Santa walk into the room
He was terribly shy once he approached Santa
I had to post this face because Esti almost always looks so happy...this little pout is adorable
