Memorial Weekend

Our Anniversary happens to fall over Memorial weekend, so in lieu of a romantic date night we opted to spend a fun filled weekend with the kids and our good friends the Hartsfields in their Snow Canyon vacation home.  We swam, explored, caught tadpoles and little frogs, the men golfed and we enjoyed great weather and company.  Thanks Hartsfields for a memorable trip!

She loves rough housing and playing with her Dad and Cy the most

I love these kids
One highlight of the trip was our ride home.  Esti would not stop whining and crying, and poor Cy who has sensitive ears had to sit next to her.  This is his attempt to make her happy...it's so sweet and our favorite part is at the end where he says "self sooth".  Who needs a television when you have a Cy!

Mother's Day

All I requested this year was a clean house for mother's day.  I woke up to not only a clean (from Mike's perspective) house, but breakfast in bed with my babies, followed with a nice stroll down our lane which I love going on a few times every day.  We had a BBQ with family at our house after church to top off the day.  Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers and especially to mine, who has been my support and best friend through a lot of ups and downs!

Magnificant May

We have just been enjoying the outdoors this month, especially our neighborhood which we affectionately call Narnia because it is so dreamy, whimsical, lush and enchanting.
Little cousin Victoria loves to play in the creek with Cy and Esti

Crying because he lost his potato bug in the grass

Cy's outfit of the week (yes he put it together)
Every time Esti does something naughty, she looks at us with a smile and sweetly says "HI!"
Cy has caught the cleaning bug that I have and as a result has spent hours in all the showers and bathtubs at home happily cleaning.   All free of charge, what a boy.

Spring Sing

Cy's little preschool had their end of the year spring sing and he didn't fail to entertain.  With dance moved like his dad and the love for his mama in his heart, he really romanced me!

Tribeca 2012

This April I got the royal treatment.  My little sister Lena works for Tribeca productions and since I'm a huge film fan I thought it was only appropriate to go back to our old stomping grounds, see a ton a movies, play with my sister and visit old friends.  New York City was a dream, the weather was great, we explored some tasty cafes and restaurants in the West Village where Lena lives, rode bikes (scary) around the city, ran along the west side highway, and checked out some entertaining and creepy parties ( we found ourselves at a rave in Williamsburg...I don't recommend it) ha!

My first picture of the trip...a lovely garden downtown
 Out to dinner
Eating with Lena and her always entertaining crew
NYC has no shortage of huge rats, which is why I was shocked to see this dime size mouse.  The cigarette butt puts into perspective how little this guy was.
So fun to have film loving buddies joining me...thanks Carl and Rachel!
Enjoying a little after movie snack
  Grand Central Terminal
Outside Lena's building in the West Village
Having lunch after riding bikes all day
A little out of place at a rave we thought was going to be a few friends hanging out...I felt like I was starring in the movie Date Night, taking wrong turns and completely out of place everywhere I went.  This party was packed with a dancing banana man, where the wild things are club kid, and a ton of other strange and scary characters.
Giving Lena a kiss when I find out we are heading home.  Love the guy behind us.
Fun street talent.  Hipster hillbillies
Driving by our old cute houses in Mamaroneck

 The Westchester crew
My best friends from my old life in New York.  They are the most amazing women, and all became mothers this year to their 3rd (me), 4th (Amanda and Rachel), and 5th (Jaime) children.  Kudos to these power women!
Occupy Wall Street Protestors headed for Union Square gave me an interesting send off the last hour I spent in NYC
