Who needs Santa?

At least who needs him when Pete is around. Mike's best friend happens to be in the toy industry and travelled to New York for the American International Toy Fair. The last day of the show, exhibitors tend to leave a lot of their inventory because they don't want to ship it back. That's where we scored....big time. Thanks a lot Pete, February may now be the kids new favorite month.

grumpy no more!
A peek at some of the loot

Thanks Pete

Ladies in NYC

My girlfriends and I are going stir crazy here in New York...as expected, winter is just dragging and we needed something to look forward to. Thanks to our daughters who offered to babysit for the afternoon, we went to lunch at one of my favorite places (Pink Pony in the LES), shopped around SOHO and saw the amazing movie Norh Face.

Valentine's

We recently signed Cy up for swimming class with Mike on the weekend. Their first swim together was so sweet. Cy had a great time playing the role of a remora fish.

My Girlie

Madi is getting so big...I mean she's always been wise and mature, but she's going into High School next year and spends 12-15 hours a week at her ballet school. Somehow she manages all this all while keeping up her grades and attending church every week. I'm so happy she's found something she loves, but please STOP GROWING UP!!!

Praying with beads

For several months now, Cy will attempt to say his own prayers. It typically sounds like a bunch of gibberish with "amen" at the end, but it is so sweet to watch...especially when he does it by himself and I catch him. I remember Madison used to do the same thing in the shower with her baby dolls. She took it very seriously and always furrowed her brow while kneeling. This is Cy playing with "baby beads" and praying to them.

Grammy Dancing

Cy couldn't help but get into the music while we watched the Grammy's last week. Here's a little clip of him jamming to the Black Eyed Peas at 2 years old (the end is the best).
