Cy Guy

It seems as though I blog most about Cy these days.  He's at that stage in life where he is the most excited about sharing, showing and spending time with us.  Lucky for us he is a passionate and amazing performer.  Anyway, yesterday I was cold with an ear ache so I wrapped a scarf around my head and explained to him that  I thought I had an ear infection. After leaving for a few minutes, Cy returned with a duvet cover wrapped around his neck and taped it to his face (not sure why, but he loves tape).  He told me he had a "refection" in his chin just like me and then fell asleep next to me on the couch.  I love this boy.

Cy also performed his original Christmas song "Silent Night" the next morning in falsetto

Thanksgiving

In preparation for the meal, Grandpa Lee clearly didn't listen to Grandmas instructions on how to make the juice...look at the foaming overflowing

Why is it all the men hide in the basement while we shop, cook, clean and care for the kids?  This is why I don't feel bad when I spend a little money on myself!

November 2011

I can't remember what day it is let alone recall what we did this month.  Thank goodness for pictures, which spark all the memories I should be having!
Early this month we had a wonderful snowfall that Cy took advantage of
Our neighbors and friends threw a celebration for Apa Sherpa who has climbed Everest 21 times.  Although he is tiny, this man is huge in many ways; sweet, humble, kind, gentle, and strong, and brave!

I held a dinner at our house for the Drill team and had a guest nutritionist speak to them
My sister came into town for a couple day and never fails to make me feel more fabulous than I really am
She took Cy to visit her friend who is the Fire Chief in SLC
He was in heaven..this guy even took him down the fireman's pole

Family in the Fall

My sister in law Nicole flew here from Kansas to shoot our family for her new business.  We had such a great time playing in our yard and enjoying one another.

Memories

I recently had several old photos digitized and have laughed so hard looking at them.  Some memories are wonderful, and others I'd like to forget, but they've all shaped me and hopefully contribute to some growth!
Family picture when we lived in Denmark (I'm the one with the stick)
This photo is the best, we are all smiling here at our house in Oregon City while baby Dane is gagging on leaves
This picture below was taken around 1999 and is so gross in a number of ways, and we thought we were so fashionable: #1 our haircuts-styles-skunk color jobs are horrendous (I still see women in Utah trying to pull this off)
#2 I can't get over the horrible slacks, boot cut pants, and square shaped shirts. Clothes only recently started fitting well it seems!
#3 note the beautiful 3 inch chunky heels...kind of reminds me of a polio victim or frankenstein shoes.

I loved my cozy baby
Madison was a serious baby...my guess is Aunt Shawnie was behind her smiling so big here
