Lovely Day
We finally enjoyed gorgeous pre-Spring weather in the low 70's this past weekend and decided (as usual) to go into the city. Central Park, the High Line, our friend Carl and some great pizza made for a perfect day. Fortunately Madi was able to join us after a long day at ballet.
His favorite thing.....bottely
The only thing better than a "bottely" is a bottely and a shakey (as he calls them)!
Cy had a blast visiting all the dogs in the park
Playing with Carl
Cy admiring the big buff roller skater

DR
Every winter gets tough for me...bad weather, feeling cooped up in our house, lack of vitamin D adds up for a cranky Kristy. After a series of disappointments with several trips I was supposed to take (Scottsdale, Oakland, Zurich), Mike saw my crazy eyes and knew we needed to get away. We flew my Mom out to watch the kids and took a 4 night 5 day trip to Mike's favorite country the Dominican Republic. He typically goes on motorcycles and never knows where he'll end up staying, so this was a new adventure for him to go comfort style. Thanks Deary, you know I needed it!
The Locals
A trip anywhere isn't worth it if you don't interact with the locals. Luckily Mike is a pro at "off the beaten track" adventures, so we followed some locals around various villages. I have to admit out of all the Latin speaking countries I've visited, the Dominicans are by far the most beautiful, non-threatening, free spirited and friendly people I've seen.

It's normal to see 4-5 guys on a single motorcycle -
